Term Conversions (SimConstants.h)

Introduction

ADS-IDAC uses integer codes internally to represent states, roles, goals, strategies, action types, and many other concepts. Using integers rather than strings improves memory efficiency and runtime performance across the large number of sequence branches generated during a dynamic simulation. The constants live in src/ADSIDAC/Global/SimConstants.h as enum class types and sim:: namespace constants (the header TermConversions.h only includes SimConstants.h).

Use integer values in input files

Input files must use the integer values (e.g., 3043), not the symbolic names. The symbolic names exist only in the C++ source and are not recognized as text strings by the input parsers.

Symbol column

The Symbol column below shows the V… names that the 2009 manual uses, for cross-referencing. The code uses the sim:: names in SimConstants.h (e.g., sim::State::Normal); rows without a V… name show the sim:: name. The integer values on this page are those of the code.

These codes describe the final outcome of a simulation sequence.

Used internally to identify the type of RELAP5 component associated with a communication channel.
